Inverse of the incomplete Beta function.

Parameters

tailbool, optional

By default, tail is False.

Returns
resultfloat

  • If tail is False: result = \mathrm{B}^{-1}(x/\mathrm{B}(a, b); a, b).

  • If tail is True: result = 1 - \mathrm{B}^{-1}(x/\mathrm{B}(a, b); b, a).
